Essential Oils Uses and Easy Home Recipes

Enjoy these recipes for soothing sore muscle massage oils, or if you have a splitting headache, have a friend or loved one make you some relaxing head massage oil and take the rest of the day off. There are endless essential oils uses! To energize yourself or brighten your spirit, try the refreshing room spray recipe. Then either start your day or cap it off with some smooth moisturizing hand cream … enjoy!

 

Sore Muscle Massage Oil:

1 Tablespoon Grape seed Oil
1 Tablespoon Almond Oil
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
10 drops Juniper Essential Oil
10 drops Marjoram Essential Oil
10 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
5 drops Black pepper Essential Oil

Mix all oils together in a small dark amber or blue bottle, shake well to blend.  Let set to for 4 days to synergize.  After 4 days, massage a few drops into sore muscle area or add a few drops to a warm bath for a sore muscle soak.

 

Headache Massage Blend:

1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil
1 Tablespoon Grape seed Oil
1 Tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil
16 drops Lavender Essential Oil
8 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
6 drops Marjoram Essential Oil

Mix all the oils together in a small dark amber or blue bottle, shake well to blend.  Let set for 4 days to synergize.  Massage 1-2 drops into the base of the neck and at the temples, taking care not to get any into the eye.  May also add 1-2 teaspoons to warm bath water, agitate the oil blend into the water and soak.

Refreshing Room Spray:

50 ml Cider Vinegar
200 ml purified water
60 drops Lemon Essential Oil
30 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Blend all ingredients in a 300 ml spray bottle, shake well to mix.  Allow to set for 4 days to synergize.  Use as a room spray throughout the house.

Hand Cream for Dry Skin

6 Tablespoons Aloe Butter
5 drops Benzoin Essential Oil
10 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil
10 drops Palmarosa Essential Oil
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Mix the Aloe Butter and Essential oils together by adding 1 drop of essential oil at a time while mixing continuously.  When the essential oils are thoroughly incorporated into the Aloe Butter, spoon mixture into a glass jar and cap.  Store in a tightly closed container in a cool place.  Apply to skin as needed.
